Janet Jackson shared an important announcement in a 90-second video she posted on Twitter last Monday. She seemed relaxed as she told her fans something they had been waiting to hear for a long time. The 50-year-old new mother seems to be lying down with a baseball hat on her head. She introduced herself by saying some people might not recognize her because she still has the baby weight after giving birth to a son on January 3, 2017. She brought the public up to date about what is going on with her professionally and personally.
State of the World tour
Because Janet canceled her "Unbreakable" tour last year to start a family, she wants fans to know that it is about to continue. However, she has changed the name to the State Of The World tour. She indicated that she is very excited about continuing the sold-out tour that started in August 2015.
It was canceled last year because she and her husband Wissam Al Mana wanted to start a family. Since that has happened, she is ready to continue touring as she had promised fans and ticket holders. It makes her feel good to be doing for her fans what she promised. It was reported that if Janet didn't continue the tour soon, some fans were ready to sue her.
The tour will last four months as she performs on 56 dates starting on September 7, 2017.
She let people know that the tour will not be about politics. Instead, it will be about people, the world, relationships, and just love. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 5 at Live Nation. Tickets for the canceled "Unbreakable" tour will be honored on the new scheduled dates.
According to the State of the World website, the tour starts on September 7, 2017, in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Cajundome and ends with the 56th date on December 17, 2017, at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
All dates are listed on the Live Nation website. When you see the list, you will notice that lots of times there are two consecutive dates in different cities but never three back-to-back dates.
There will be only one performance in the selected cities, but the six-time Grammy winner will have more performances in different cities in Texas and California.
While the advertisement is for American cities, on September 26 there will be a performance at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.

Other information in video
Jackson briefly mentioned that she separated from her husband. She didn't spend much time talking about any details. She merely said that things are in court where the rest is in God's hands. She spent more time gushing about her baby boy Eissa. She glowed as she said how beautiful and how good he is.
