HBO has officially confirmed that its new series, “Big Little Lies,” debuts on DVD and Blue-ray.
Last month, the network confirmed Shailene Woodley and Nicole Kidman for the leading characters in the new season. All episodes of “Big Little Lies,” including the special "Inside the Episode" and "About Big Little Lies" episodes, have been upgraded to digital versions. In addition to Kidman and Woodley, the series features Reese Witherspoon, Alexander Skarsgård, Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling, and Laura Dern.
As of January 2017, HBO has maintained first-run film licensing agreements with Warner Bros. Entertainment, New Line Cinema, 20th Century Fox, Blue Sky Studios, Universal Studios, Focus Features, and Illumination Entertainment.
‘Big Little Lies’ – a dark comedy
“Big Little Lies” is an American dark comedy developed by David E. Kelley, based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The series consists of seven episodes, co-produced by Jean-Marc Vallée. It premiered in February 2017 and concluded in April 2017.
The previous month, a soundtrack for the program was released for iTunes users.
Santiago Cabrera, Iain Armitage, Darby Camp, Kelen Coleman, Virginia Kull, Kathryn Newton, David Monahan, Joseph Cross, and Robin Weigert play the supporting characters.

The show received wide acclaim from television critics and audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an approved rating of 76% based on 89 critics. Metacritic reports a score of 73 out of 100 based on 43 reviews. HBO develops, distributes and markets its programs in DVD, Digital HD, and Blue-ray formats. Previously, “Big Little Lies” was available in only Digital HD format.
