Dina Manzo from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is currently recovering from one of the scariest incidents of her life. Even though Dina had moved to Los Angeles to start over after appearing on the show, she returned to New Jersey to support her friend Teresa Giudice and her daughter's first communion.
The party took place on May 13. After the party, Dina Manzo and her boyfriend David Cantin returned home to their New Jersey townhouse - but what they found was absolutely shocking.
Inside the home, Dina and her boyfriend David found two assailants who were in the process of robbing the home.
They had found cash and jewelry, but rather than fleeing when the couple returned home; they decided to attack.
Dina Manzo may have suffered mentally after attack
The two assailants decided to beat up and then find tie up Dina Manzo and her boyfriend. They were left behind still bound when the assailants decided to flee. After David had managed to free himself and called the police, the two were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries and then later released.
When Manzo’s estranged sister Caroline Manzo heard about the incident, she was completely shocked. She asked her Twitter followers to please send prayers to her sister. It is admirable that even though these two have had their issues in the past, Caroline is able to put it all aside now the something this serious has happened.
One can imagine that Dina suffered mentally as well after the attack, perhaps dealing with depression, anxiety, and stress. It can't be easy to heal so quickly from a Home Invasion where you may have thought that you were going to die. Since the attackers stayed in the home to beat the reality star and her boyfriend, it is possible that she was scared beyond belief.
Lawyer issues statement about the attack in New Jersey
Dina's lawyer Andrew Brettler recently told “Page Six” that his client is still recovering from the scary incident. He revealed that she needs time to heal and that it may take a while for her to fully feel safe in the New Jersey home again.
On “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Dina was one of the most relaxed and zen people, so it is shocking that she's the one who has to deal with this kind of home invasion and being physically attacked and beaten by two assailants.
Are you surprise Dina Manzo was attacked in her own home by two assailants? What advice would you give her to help her heal from this horrific incident?
