"The Bachelorette" star Rachel Lindsay is down to 23 suitors after sending her first round of guys home on last week's season premiere. Week 2 will bring the first round of dates, including two group dates and a romantic one-on-one date.
Unfortunately, one of Rachel's guys will all but ruin one of the group dates and it leaves the "Bachelorette" star in tears. But don't expect her tears to last too long — she admits in her People blog that she loses her temper and curses the guy out.
Rachel means business and we're loving it.
Group date drama
One of the Week 2 group dates is a big hit with 10 of Rachel's guys. According to ABC, the guys get to meet NBA legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It's all fun and games until a mystery woman shows up. Well, she's not a mystery to one of Rachel's guys.
The woman approaches Rachel and gives her some dirt on about contestant DeMario Jackson. Apparently, the woman is DeMario's girlfriend —producers brought her on the show to call him out. Ouch.
And now we know who Rachel was talking about when she wrote in her People blog, "one man makes my worst fears come true."
Reality Steve's spoilers reveal that DeMario Jackson, 30, left his girlfriend at home so he could join the cast of "The Bachelorette." Sounds like he was looking for fame, not love.
Sure enough, Jackson is the guy Whitney Fransway was talking about during the premiere when Rachel talked to some of the girls from Nick's season. "The Bachelorette" star was warned that DeMario wasn't there for the right reasons. At least his cheating ways were revealed on the second episode, not later on in the season.
So, the Group Date doesn't end on a happy note. Rachel is left to wonder if any of the other guys are really looking for love or if it's all about fame.
"My worst fears come true," Rachel reveals. "You'll see me cry, curse someone out and have one of the Most! Dramatic! Cocktail Parties! Ever!"
Bye, DeMario
If Reality Steve's spoilers are correct, Rachel will send DeMario home on Week 2.
After all, he has a girlfriend, although we can't imagine their relationship lasted long after she tracked him down on the Bachelorette group date.
What's not clear is when she sends him home. Does she call him out immediately during the basketball group date? Or does Rachel make him sweat it out and confront him during the second cocktail party of the season?
Find out on Monday night! The second episode of "The Bachelorette" starts at 8 p.m. ET on May 29.
