"The Bachelorette" star rachel lindsay is having a tough time keeping the outcome of her season a secret. The Dallas attorney returned from filming the Final Rose ceremony in Spain next week and she wasted no time letting fans know that she's engaged and in love.
In past seasons, the only person to spoil the Bachelorette finale is blogger Reality Steve. Although he did reveal who Rachel picked earlier this week, it appears that ABC doesn't care if fans know what happens or not. They know most fans will tune in to watch the show just for the drama alone.
Rachel Lindsay confirms she's engaged
On Thursday, Rachel, 32, told Reality TV World that she did get engaged and is very much in love with her final pick.
"I am very much so in love and very much so engaged," Rachel revealed. "If I had a list, he would check everything off."
However, per her contract with ABC, she could reveal who she picked. But that didn't stop fans from spreading Reality Steve's prediction that contestant Peter Kraus proposed to Rachel at the final rose ceremony in Madrid.
If Steve is right, Rachel will have to make some big decisions once the "Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" special airs on August 7. She's currently a practicing attorney in Texas and Peter is a personal trainer based in Wisconsin.
Will we hear wedding bells soon?
Rachel's season gets underway on Monday, so we have about 10 weeks to wait until she reveals her future plans with Peter. The final airs August 7, one day before "Bachelor in Paradise" returns for its fourth season.
For now, Rachel says that she's getting to know her new husband-to-be, something that's not so easy since they don't live near each other.
"Maybe it will be quick, maybe it will be a longer engagement like Shawn and Kaitlyn," Rachel Lindsay told Reality TV World when asked about a future wedding. "I think we'll just see how it goes. We just really want to get to know each other better and cultivate our relationship."
Producers usually set up weekend visits, but the couple won't be able to go out in public until the August 7 finale airs.
That's a long, long time to get to know someone you briefly dated on a reality TV show.
For now, our Monday nights are dedicated to watching "The Bachelorette" Rachel Lindsay's love story unfold. Of course, there will be plenty of drama along the way. With 31 guys vying for the final rose, there's bound to be some tension and man-crying this season.
Watch "The Bachelorette" Season 13 premiere on Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
