Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have made headlines because of their nasty divorce and fights. Fortunately, the ex-couple remain great parents to their six kids and Jolie has opened up about her parenting inspirations.
According to new reports, Angelina Jolie looks up to her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Jolie's late French-American actress mom has reportedly inspired the "By The Sea" actress to be the best mother to her kids with Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie opens up about parenting
In her recent interview with Marianne Pearl of Elle, the "Mr. and Mrs.
Smith" actress stated that she tries to be a great mother to Maddox, Shiloh, Vivienne, Zahara, Knox, and Pax despite her split from Brad Pitt. Angelina Jolie strives to be as good as her mother was to her when she was still alive.
Jolie's mother, Bertrand died from cancer back in January 2007. The "Tomb Raider" actress believes that Bertrand would have been the greatest grandmother to her children if she was still alive. Jolie opened up about how sad she is that her kids will miss out on having a grandmother like her late mother.
The "Maleficent" actress stated that she would give anything just to have her mother at her side again. Jolie even revealed that she often talks to her mom in her mind and she believes Bertrand has always been by her side spiritually.
Bertrand starred in several movies back in 1980's and she even starred in "The Man Who Loved Women." She raised her two kids, Jolie and Haven alone after getting divorced from Jon Voight.
Jolie sees her late mother as a role model in raising her kids right, which is why she tries to be a great example to her children. She says being responsible and conscious about other people is a great way to teach her kids the right attitude in life.
She also shared that listening to her children is one of her ways to raise them well.
Brad Pitt is doing better now
On the other side of the story, the "War Machine" star, Pitt revealed that he is trying to be focused on figuring out the new configuration of their family. Despite the difficulties in his new life, he is reportedly able to handle the changes in their family set up.
It seems like Pitt has already accepted the situation he is in now because he knows how to enjoy life even if he is already divorced. Pitt even revealed that there are a lot of things to be loved in life despite the hardships he has been through.
As of this writing, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are believed to be in good terms for now. Fans are still hoping that everything will turn out well in their relationship despite their divorce decision.
