The Fate of the Furious” or "Fast And Furious 8" may have disappointed some but that will not stop the producers from moving on. With the eighth installment currently showing in theaters worldwide, the buzz is that there will be a ninth installment coming soon.

Despite most calling FF8 senseless, all that could be made up on the next installment. vin diesel and Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson will be back for another ride despite having a falling out. Johnson made that public before the final days of filming. Both have patched things up and seem ready to move on.

Will FF9 have a logical storyline?

The criticism has varied, and the take of most is similar as before. Most see no sensible story on “The Fate of the Furious” with most overwhelmed with the action. Potentially packing that in with the illogical scenes is a challenge in itself, so it all depends on what one is looking for when he or she buys a ticket.

Despite concerns on the plot, the director F. Gary Gray has managed to put to good use the main protagonists and the supporting cast. Thanks to the trailers, most wanted to see what was behind the heel-turn of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the sudden face-turn of Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham).

The action was not lacking though some took found it more fantasy-like.

That included Johnson surfing a torpedo and cars being hijacked thanks to the hacking exploits of Cipher (Charlize Theron). So for folks who are entertained with those sequences, a big thumbs up should be in order.

Now, the jig is up on what the producers will come up with to maintain the action-packed “Fast and Furious” franchise and its list of growing stars.

Diesel and Johnson are confirmed to return for the ninth installment, possibly with the new cast.

What new gimmick will FF9 have?

Producers will be challenged once more to come up with yet another angle for "Fast and Furious 9." They have used planes, tanks and now a submarine. So how can they possibly take it up a notch? One can only skim through the pages of modes of transportation to figure that out.

Then again, the people behind the successful franchise don’t really have to innovate that much. Seeing the fast cars and the sizzling women on screen is enough for most. Hence, it brings us back to the first point of coming up with a sensible storyline.

There are tons of possibilities like spin-offs for some of the characters. “The Rock’s” character, Luke Hobbs, had been suggested as getting one before. Dominic Toretto could have one too, seeing he merely rose from the ashes starting out as someone who hijacked trucks for a living in the maiden offering. Any wild guesses?
