Those worried about the alleged Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson feud negatively impacting the impending sequels of the “Fast And Furious” franchise can breathe easy. Although rumors of simmering tension between the two actors have been floating online, both Diesel and Johnson have denied the same. The two actors confirmed that they will be seen together in the movie’s ninth sequel.

'Fast and the Furious 9'

According to a report from TMZ, the ninth installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise will once again see Diesel and Johnson share the screen together.

Sources familiar with the matter shared with the publication that both the actors have “buried their hatchet” and confirmed that they are "1000% in" for the ninth “Fast and Furious” movie. Conflicts between the two started over “real estate,” which in movie language means how much screen time and importance an actor gets in a film, when compared to other stars.

Johnson has reportedly relented and accepted that Diesel is the real star of the franchise, as even on the call sheet, he has been listed as number one. It is being said that the two actors met up in private to sort their differences and continue to maintain a “good relationship.” The production for the next “Fast and Furious” movie will start soon.

Diesel and Johnson feud

Rumors of a tiff between the two megastars started emerging during the 2016 shooting of the eighth edition of the “Fast and Furious” series. In 2016, Johnson complained about some of his male co-stars starring in “Fast and Furious 8,” which was being filmed back then, on Facebook. While the actor did not disclose any names, people could read between the lines.

“My female co-stars are always amazing, and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses,” shared Johnson in a Facebook post in August 2016.

Diesel played down the conflict rumors and stated that things have been blown out of proportion.

He also backed Johnson and said that he doesn’t believe that the wrestler-turned-actor would intentionally start a feud between the two. Going by these assertions, all seems to be well for the franchise.

The ninth installment of the franchise is set to be released on April 19, 2019. The eighth installment of the popular action series hit theaters on Friday, April 14. It has already managed to break records, with a whopping collection of $532.5 million worldwide thus far.
