kim zolciak Biermann's son Kash is recovering in the hospital after he was bitten by a dog this weekend. According to the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, she will be staying by her son's side and will skip her appearance on Andy Cohen's show, "Watch What Happens Live" on Sunday night.

On Sunday, Kim posted a photo of 4-year-old Kash on her Instagram. Her husband, NFL star Kroy Biermann was next to Kash's hospital bed comforting the couple's son as he recovers from surgery.

Kim Zolciak's son recovering from 'traumatic' injuries

Kim reveals that her son's dog bite injuries were "traumatic" and surgeons operated on him for a few hours.

It's not clear what part of his body was bitten, but his arm is covered with bandaging. In the photo on Kim's Instagram page, Kash is covering his face so it's not clear if the dog bit him in the face as well.

"I don't know where to start. The last 14 hrs of our lives has been a living nightmare," Kim captioned the Instagram photo. "My sweet @kashbiermann was bit by a dog and had very traumatic injuries. I've never prayed so hard, or been so scared in my life."

Kim does not reveal where the attack took place or who owns the dog that bit Kash.

There is no doubt that the "rhoa" star will reveal that information on social media or on her rescheduled appearance on "WWHL."

Zolciak revealed that in addition to her husband, Kroy, her daughters and Kash's nanny were all helping out during this stressful time.

She goes on to say that they are praying for a "speedy recovery" and they all thank God for his protection. Kash will spend a few days in the hospital and then will be head home to recuperate.

Kim returns to "Real Housewives of Atlanta"

Kim Zolciak-Biermann recently made headlines when Bravo revealed that the mother of six would be returning to "RHOA" this season.

People reported in February that the original Atlanta housewife would return amidst some rather explosive drama.

She last appeared on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" on Season 5. Since then, she starred in her own hit series, "Don't Be Tardy," with her husband, Kroy Biermann and their children.

Hollywood Take reports that Kim will appear on "RHOA" on a limited basis and is still committed to her own show, "Don't Be Tardy."

It's not clear how much she's getting paid for her appearances on the "Real Housewives," but rest assured that the reality TV star negotiated herself a nice little payday. Kim recently told People that she is "motivated by money" and to "everything has a price."
