Seeing shooting for the upcoming season has just started, but there are still a lot of tidbits about it being leaked.

The 100th episode

The first episode of Season 8 is also the 100th episode. Most milestone episodes are known for being extra special. This is expected to be correct about next season's premiere episode.

Chandler Riggs, who portrays Carl Grimes, took to Twitter. He explained he had read the episode and said: “[O]ooo man, it is good."

Scott Gimple explained the first episode of the new season is going to set up the next 100 episodes. From his statements, fans of “The Walking Dead” can believe this episode will propel the series into the future. It doesn't sound like there will be any looking back on the past.

Andrew Lincoln told TalkingWithComics.com there would be a “full-scale” war starting with the 100th episode. He went on to say Scott Gimple had been planning this episode for four years. Fans can expect it will be some special.

There also promotions for three of the cast members. Steven Ogg, who portrays Simon, Katelyn Nacon (Enid) and Pollyanna McIntosh, who plays Jadis, will be listed as regulars on “The Walking Dead.” More than likely, this means those characters will be getting more screen time and will have more pivotal roles in the series.

Speed is crucial in Season 8

Scott Gimple is warning the fans of “The Walking Dead” that Season 8 will be fast paced than the previous seasons. The acceleration is due to what the survivors will be facing in the new season. As usual, Scott Gimple was close-mouthed about the specifics of what they will be facing.
