The American people are more divided today when it comes to politics than at any other time in recent memory. While many people have their own personal views, some use their popularity to project their message to millions, including filmmaker Michael Moore.

Moore on Twitter

For over two decades, Michael Moore has been vocal in his opposition to conservative political policies, while supporting a more liberal government and society.

Starting with his first film in 1998 titled "Roger and Me," to the bigger hits like "Fahrenheit 9/11," "Sicko," and "Capitalism: A Love Story," Moore has made his mark in the entertainment industry, which has also trickled down to lawmakers and cable news shows. Moore even released a new project just prior to the election called "Michael Moore in TrumpLand." Moore was one of Donald Trump's loudest critics, which has only increased in the months since the election. On Thursday, senate Democrats voted to filibuster Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, which prompted Republicans to reshuffle the rules and enact the "nuclear option" in an attempt to force a confirmation.

As seen on his Twitter account on April 6, Moore didn't hold back his thoughts.

Taking to his Twitter account on Thursday, Michael Moore unloaded on the Republican Party, as well as taking a shot at Democrat for not spending enough time campaigning in winnable states during the election. "Not once in seven long months did the campaign send the candidate to Wisconsin," Moore wrote on Twitter, followed up by tweeting, "This was preventable."

"We can't fix the Repubs--other than by removing them from office," Michael Moore wrote, before noting, "We CAN fix the stupidity on our side which helped turn 6 blue states red." "The silver lining: The majority of the country disagrees w/ the Republican agenda.

Only 35% support its president," he continued, stating, "This is their last gasp." In his final tweet as of press time, Moore directed his message to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. "Note to Mitch McConnell: After the Trump debacle you are part of crashes and burns, we will make good use of the new rules you passed today," he wrote.

While Michael Moore is showing obvious frustrations with the Democratic Party, it appears that he is still optimistic that the left will be able to unite against Donald Trump and the GOP. With the former host of "The Apprentice" watching his poll numbers drop to historic lows, it's only a matter of time before the country will know if he will take his party down with him in the process.
