Tom McCarthy is also set to write a later draft of the script. The film is set to be helmed by director Marc Foster, who previously directed the film "World War Z." The Producer of Disney's live-action film "The Jungle Book," Brigham Taylor, is set to be a producer on the film.
Ewan McGregor's long career
This is not the first live-action Disney movie that Ewan McGregor will be a part of. This past year, McGregor played the role of Lumiere in the live-action adaptation of Disney's 1991 movie "Beauty and the Beast." He stared alongside Emma Watson and Ian McKellen. "Beauty and the Beast" has currently made over 1 billion dollars in box office revenue. Ewan McGregor is best known for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel episodes of the Star Wars trilogy. The Scottish actor is also known for his leading role as Christian in the movie musical "Moulin Rouge!" where he stared alongside Nicole Kidman. McGregor received critical acclaim for his role in that film, as well as several award nominations.
He has also appeared in popular films such as "Black Hawk Down," "Big Fish," and "Angels and Demons." Currently, McGregor is starring in the third season of "Fargo," airing on the FX network. He plays two roles in the miniseries, twin brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy.
Who is Christopher Robin?
The movie "Christopher Robin" is in reference to the popular character made famous by the stories of "Winnie The Pooh" by A.A.
Milne. Christopher Robin is the only human character in these stories that take place in the Hundred Acre Wood. The character of Christopher Robin was inspired by and named after A.A. Milne's own son, who was named Christopher Robin Milne. The character has since appeared in many Disney adaptations of "Winnie The Pooh" including several movies, TV shows, and TV specials.
The character most recently appeared in Disney's 2011 movie, "Winnie The Pooh." Not much is known about the upcoming story yet, but Ewan McGregor is set to play an older version of the classic character in the upcoming Disney adaptation.
