The studio has announced the release dates of “Star Wars 9,” “Indiana Jones 5,” “Frozen 2,” and “The Lion King.”

These days, Disney is making the headlines for its mega-budget films. The ninth installment in the “Star Wars” film series will be out on May 24, 2019. The same year, “Frozen 2,” “Indiana Jones 5,” and the untitled “Avengers” film are expected to release, alongside Pixar’s thriller “The Incredibles 2.”

Also, “Magic Camp,” and “A Wrinkle in Time” have been scheduled for 2019.

So, it is easy to assume that the next few years will bring forth various fantastic films.

‘Star Wars 9’

“Star Wars 9” is being directed by George Lucas and produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. Walt Disney Studios acquires the US distribution rights. The trilogy consists of several episodes, including “VII,” “IX,” and “Return of the Jedi.”

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was released in December 2015, and did superb business at the box office. The cast includes Lawrence Kasdan, Michael Arndt, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver. In 2012, a Lucas representative announced three “Star War” trilogies during the shooting of the original film in Tunisia.

‘Indiana Jones 5’

The plot of “Indiana Jones 5” is unknown as the officials have refused to comment. It is one of the most anticipated Hollywood films.

“Indiana Jones 5” is being directed by Steven Spielberg, with Philip Kaufman, and David Koepp serving as screenplay writers. So far, no cast member has been confirmed other than Harrison Ford. A delay on the release comes as no surprise to those who know that Steven is a busy filmmaker. He always has a lot of projects in the queue, so pushed the release date of “Indiana Jones 5” from May 2018 to July 2019.

‘Frozen 2.'

“Frozen 2” is a sequel to 2013 blockbuster “Frozen.” Walt Disney Pictures has produced this American fantasy film. The story is inspired by a novel of the same name by Hans Christian.

In January 2015, the movie underwent some story treatments before being officially announced. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have been recruited to pen the story and dialogues. "Frozen 2" features the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, and Jonathan Gross. Previously, Christophe Beck composed the score for Disney’s short film “Paperman.” He is back to write the score for the new “Frozen” film.

'The Lion King'

“The Lion King” is scheduled to be released in July 2019. It is one of the most anticipated films. Previously, a movie of the same name was released by Disney. The story is inspired by a Shakespeare novel of the same name. The film has been directed by Roger Allers, with Don Hahn serving as executive producer and Linda Woolverton and Irene Mecchi writing its script.

The film features Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, James Earl, Moira Kelly, Ernie Sabella, Nathan Lane, Rowen Atkinson, Madge Sinclair, Robert Guillaume, and Cheech Marin. “The Lion King” is a story of a brave lion, Simba, who teams up with Nala and Rafiki to fight against the weird animals of the forest.
