With the wild success of “Beauty and the Beast,” Disney confirms the release of “Mulan,” “Peter Pan,” “Cruella,” and “Tinker Bell.” In recent years, the studio has released magnificent films, including “Maleficent” and “Cinderella.” We have put together a list of remakes currently in development.
‘Peter Pan’
“Peter Pan” is one of the most anticipated films. The movie is expected to hit a theater near you this September. David Lowery is directing this film, and Reese Witherspoon, Dwayne Johnson and Emma Stone play the leading roles. After the success of “Pete’s Dragon” and “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints,” it is David’s third project with Disney.

‘Cruella’
These days, Disney is finalizing the development of “Cruella.” The movie will hit the global cinemas this winter. According to “The Daily Campus,” Emma Watson will play the leading role in this movie. It is a story of an evil antagonist, a woman who is fond of killing innocent youngsters. Kelly Marcel, who penned “50 Shades of Grey” and “Saving Mr. Banks,” has worked on the script. Aline Brosh McKenna, Kelly Marcel, and Jez Butterworth play supporting roles in this movie. A recently released trailer gives glimpses of Emma killing several innocent women.

‘Mulan’
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney launched a casting search for Chinese celebs to play the leading characters in “Mulan.” It is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The studio says this movie will be released in November 2017. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver will play supporting roles.
Jason Reed is confirmed to produce this project along with Chris Bender and Jake Weiner. Little is known about its story as the studio refused to comment anything. However, posters give glimpses that “Mulan” is based on the life of a Chinese legend, Hua Mulan.
‘Tinker Bell’
“Tinker Bell” is an upcoming fantasy film, produced by DisneyToon Studios.
The movie has voices of Mae Whitman, Raven-Symoné, Lucy Liu, and America Ferrera. Teen Vogue claims that Victoria Strouse is writing the script. The project is in its last stages of development, so we can expect its release this winter. The studio says the movie is about Tinker Bell, a senior citizen who faces a lot of problems in his life. There are rumors that Julia Roberts will voice the leading female character, but nothing is confirmed. Julia’s fans are eager to know more about her role in this movie.
