American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer Ciara (and her husband Russell Wilson) welcomed their first child together, a Baby Girl, on Friday, April 28th, 2017. This is the first child of the couple. The proud mother announced the name of her new baby daughter in a tweet and posted the following message a few hours after giving birth on her Twitter account:

"Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. Love, Mommy & Daddy. By Daddy."

She also posted a photo of herself with the tweet, sitting on the beach while pregnant.

She further revealed that their daughter was born at 7:03 p.m. and weighs 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

Ciara and Russell's relationship and wedding

The 31-year-old singer and her 28-year-old football quarterback husband started dating each other in early 2015 and announced their engagement a year later on March 11th, 2016. Russell proposed to Ciara while the couple were vacationing in Seychelles at the exclusive resort North Island, and both the stars took to their social media accounts to share the joyous news with the world.

The couple tied the knot in July 2016 in a lavish ceremony that took place in Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, UK in front of their family and friends that also included close celebrity pals. Ciara made a beautiful bride in a Roberto Cavalli dress, while Russell wore a Giorgio Armani suit.

Announcement of their pregnancy

The couple announced that they were going to become parents just three month after their July wedding.

On her birthday last year in October, Ciara announced via a post that she is expecting a child for the second time.

The beautiful R&B singer was recently in the news again when she was involved in a car accident just a month ago in March -- both the singer and the other driver involved in the accident were unharmed. After the accident, the singer announced through her Twitter account that both she and her baby were doing well.

Russell Wilson's previous marriage to Ashton Meem was short-lived, as the couple divorced in April 2014, just two years after their January 2012 wedding. The R&B singer Ciara previously got engaged to American rapper, singer, and songwriter Future in October 2013, but in August 2014, Ciara ended their engagement after claiming that the rapper cheated on her. Ciara shared a son with the rapper -- Future Zahir Wilburn, born on May 19, 2014.
