The most recent promotional art for “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” just revealed Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) new outfit in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Not only that, it also gave a glimpse of Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) latest attire.
The characters’ new look has been leaked by GameStop Ireland’s sales page featuring the pre-order bonus for the coming game called “The Last Jedi Heroes.” By availing the new title early, players can have exclusive look to their new appearances and abilities in the next “Star Wars” movie.
New heroes’ outfit
GameStop Ireland was the only one that revealed Rey and Kylo Ren’s new outfits, although other branches of the wireless service retailer also unveiled the pre-order bonus.
In fact, their latest appearances even matched other promotional images from the film as the game’s advertisement was actually movie production still and not in-game skins.
Driver’s role was donning a cape that made him look quite like Darth Vader, ditching his trademark outer robe and hood. It has been known that he would be donning the said cloak in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in honor of his grandfather, but it is not yet revealed if he is going to wear his mask.
However, it is yet to be confirmed if it is the iconic antagonist’s mantle or just inspired by it. But, in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” he is known for collecting the Sith Lord’s memorabilia, thus it is not far that it is indeed the latter’s cape.
The attire of Ridley’s protagonist role, on the other hand, is a combination of Obi-Wan’s clothing and her signature scavenger clothing. But compared to this new image and other promotional releases, her belt looks a little different. The game also suggested her Jedi training gear.
Special abilities
Also in “Star Wars: Battlefront 2,” Rey’s special ability is revealed to “control the minds of enemies.” However, this is the power she displayed in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” so this might only mean that it is going to grow and develop even more in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” This time, her invaluable Force abilities will be unveiled while Kylo Ren is also going to flaunt his dangerous skills.
Alternatively, a Reddit user uploaded a photo that showed a listing of the two’s Force abilities. Originally named as Ben Solo, he has a superpower that is very similar to Darth Vader’s skills. He, too, has the ability to freeze and pull enemies when using the Force just like his grandfather. The movie’s video game version is set to be released on Nov. 17 while the film will be out a month after on Dec. 17.
