20th Century Fox unveiled the much-awaited trailer of "Alien: Covenant," the science fiction horror movie directed by Ridley Scott on February 28, 2017. The trailer has succeeded in creating a feel of curiosity among movie buffs who are fond of 'alien' movies.
The path to paradise begins in hell
The trailer starts on an interesting note, like a spaceship with six crew members lands on a planet which seems perfect for colonization. But soon, the crew realizes that something is fishy as they see wheat growing in the barren land. They gradually figure out that humans have been to the planet before, but the cruel xenomorphs kills all of them.The two-minute and thirty-six seconds trailer clearly indicate that something big is waiting in store.
The visuals seem perfect, and the color grading is impeccably done to give a wow feeling to the audience.
An ensemble star cast
A sequel to the 2012 blockbuster "Prometheus," the film has Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce reprising their roles from the prequel, while the extra addition in the cast includes, Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Billy Crudup, James Franco, and Danny McBride.

Jack Paglen, Michael Green, and John Logan have written the script of the movie. The cinematography is handled by Dariusz Wolski, while Pietro Scalia has edited the film. The prequel to this film was set in the late 21st century where a group of scientists discovers an advanced civilization which aims to develop dreaded weapons that could wipe out the entire human race.
The film was a huge blockbuster at the box-office grossing more than $400 million. "Alien: Covenant" is scheduled to reach the big screens on May 19, 2017. Earlier, the makers of the film had decided to release the movie in August, but the release date was forwarded by three months to complete the production work.
