Whether he's been played by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan or the handsome Daniel Craig, James Bond is a style icon, sex symbol and the alpha male that drives both men and women crazy. Add action scenes, good looking girls, villains, some fresh toys, and a vodka martini, and you have a movie perfection.
After Craig announced that he rejected the MGM studio's offer of $85 million for the new James Bond film, everyone is speculating about who the new Bond might be. Some even say that it might be a woman, since there are many theories that the true inspiration of Ian Fleming were the book characters of his female mentor, Filis Botom.
Actors interested in becoming the new Bond
Famous actors, such as Tom Hiddlestone, Idris Elba and Damian Lewis, are all interested in making history as a part of the the 27th official Bond film. Although we can definitely picture all of them in the Bond suit, Ryan Gossling might be messing with their plans. Gossling got himself listed for the part of Bond at the Oscars ceremony after his movie "La La land“ was mistakenly declared a winner in the category for best film.
Jane Bond?
However, since there is a real chance producers decide to give us Jane Bond this time, let’s think about that for a minute. Though you may not like the sound of it, please consider a couple of facts. How cool would it be to see a woman driving fast cars, wearing guns and handling all the Bond toys, while drinking martini and seducing handsome men?

If not, add the “X-files” star Jilian Anderson to the equation. It seems quite possible now, doesn’t it? The actress herself is thrilled about the idea as well. She even published a poster of a new Bond movie with her picture in it, and wrote “It’s Bond. Jane Bond.”
While many support the idea, others have pointed out that famous role must remain male.
Pierce Brosnan, who played in four 007 movies agrees and he feels that Bond is way too manly to be played by a woman.
Either way, it is up to producers to make the final decision. All we have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the new Bond movie, just like we enjoyed all the previous ones.
