Fans were thrilled when four time Bachelor franchise contestant Nick Viall proposed to Canadian beauty Vanessa Grimaldi on this past Monday’s season finale of ABC's “The Bachelor.” However, things are not all champagne and roses for the couple, who reunited in public for the first time on the “After The Final Rose” special following the season finale.
What’s happening?
The couple, who are still together and planning to live in Los Angeles when Nick competes on “Dancing With The Stars” admitted on the special that things have been difficult as they adjusted to being together.
It was especially hard since they had to keep their relationship a secret for several weeks after filming and still watch the show as it aired on TV. The biggest issues? According to Us Weekly, a source close to the couple has revealed that the biggest problems the couple is facing is “her jealousy” (she admitted she couldn’t even watch the Fantasy Suite date episode during “ATFR”), and the fact that they live in different countries (she is a Montreal native, while he resides in the United States). The latter had been brought up several times during the season, both with the couple and their families.
As of right now, the couple has yet to decide where they will live once Nick wraps “DWTS” this spring.
One Us Weekly source said that they might live in the United States, while another source for the magazine says that they have yet to decide where they are going to relocate.
Will they last?
Vanessa said during the "ATFR" special that the two love each other, despite the fact that there have been some difficult days settling into their new relationship.
So will they stay in it for the long haul? Only time will tell, but they both seem as if they are committed to one another. She is relocating and planning on working with a charity for special needs adults while Nick is on “DWTS” and he seems to be ready to finally settle down, based on what we have seen on the show.
