Star Wars” is a science fiction series that continues to increase its fan base with each episode, and, before the excitement of “The Force Awakens” dies down, the franchise is preparing to launch the next episode, “The Last Jedi." This will be the eighth episode of “Star Wars” which has kept the audience captivated for decades, with a rising popularity graph, much to the delight of its shareholders.

Teaser trailer of ‘The Last Jedi’

Therefore, Disney has taken its shareholders and boosted their confidence, screening some footage of the next episode of “Star Wars” which is titled “The Last Jedi." BBC reports that the screening was done during a meeting with shareholders in Denver, and, apart from investors from Hollywood, a section of the media was also present in the form of journalists.

The clip showed Rey handing over the long-lost light saber to Luke Skywalker. Incidentally, Rey is a character who appeared for the first time in “The Force Awakens” and is believed to have a mysterious past. When Luke accepts the light saber, he wants to know from Rey who she actually is. The question is relevant since her parentage is shrouded in mystery and there are theories that she is, in fact, Luke’s daughter.

Some of the other characters who were visible in the footage were Chewbacca, who the fans love, and General Leia. The General appeared for a very short time. Apart from them, there were assorted scenes of oceans, forests, deserts, and mountain ranges, without any apparent link between the scenes and the characters.

Those who were present at the screening were told not to take photos of anything that was shown about the film because that would be unethical, as it would spoil the suspense factor.

‘The Last Jedi’ should be gripping

This film “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is the last movie in which Carrie Fisher acted because she died in December of 2016.

Many of the other actors have already appeared in ‘The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi” is expected to be as gripping as earlier episodes of the franchise. With the rich tradition behind it, there is much anticipation surrounding the next episode.
