YouTube is an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California that Google purchased for $1.65 billion. Users upload, view, rate, and share content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. People have uploaded most of the topics on YouTube, and the website was rated as the second most popular site for young adults by a research company.

YouTube announced the live and on-demand streaming TV service called "YouTubeTV" is expected to start in the next few months in the U.S. The subscription will cost $35 a month for a family plan of up to six accounts, and subscribers will have access to up to 40 networks.

Millennials stay up to date on what’s trending or new

It's an efficient way to watch television for the younger generation. It's cheaper than traditional cable and users can watch what they want anytime on several devices. A new study found that teens and young adults watch considerably more video on YouTube, Netflix and other Internet sources; video use continues to increase on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Tumblr.

Television is not very important to millennials and they think is the best way to learn how to do something - the younger generation is not connecting with traditional TV. The study found that most young people like video from people they don’t know, mostly videos featuring their favorite digital celebrities, and others said they watch videos from their friends and family.

The streaming TV service will arrive soon

The long-anticipated service will have live television shows from more than 40 TV networks and including all of the major broadcast networks plus cable programming.

The company won’t say exactly when the service launches, but you can expect it in the US starting in weeks.

Youtube TV will be usable in some markets but there are no plans to release it worldwide. It indicates YouTube will try to compete with cable providers and with online TV biggest including Sling TV, Sony PlayStation Vue, AT&T’s DirecTV Now and Hulu's new own over-the-top service.
