Last week on "Dancing With the Stars," everyone saw that Maksim Chmerkovskiy had an injury to his calf. This kept Maks from dancing last week, but he didn't know how long it would keep him out. Now it is being revealed that Maks actually had to have surgery on his calf, which could put him out of the show for a while.
Maks shares he is getting fixed
On Wednesday, Maks shared a photo that showed him in a hospital bed. He had on a hospital gown, and an IV in his hand then posted the caption, "Getting' unbroken." Maks didn't share a lot of details with fans, but everyone knows that "Dancing With the Stars" will reveal what is going on with him on Monday when he is unable to dance with Heather Morris from having the surgery.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy was actually in Ashtabula, Ohio to get the surgery done. His fiance Peta Murgatroyd is in LA practicing for next week on "Dancing With the Stars." They were supposed to be competing against each other this season, but the fact that Maks can't dance is changing that up for sure.
Peta did share on Snapchat that they were not there along with a picture of her son. She said, "Wishing Daddy a speedy recovery from La La Land. We love you and can't wait to get you back. Kisses from Shai XO." She seems very supportive of him, but she has a job to do and also has to be with their son.
So far, Maksim Chmerkovskiy isn't sharing if he will be able to return this season at all. The fact that "Dancing With the Stars" seasons only last for a few months makes it where it will probably be hard for Maks to come back this season.
Hopefully, he will be able to continue to help Heather and work with her on the choreography part of the show. The fans would love to see him back as soon as possible. They were excited to hear that he would be back again this season after Peta just had their baby boy.
