Javi Marroquin's ex-wife, "Teen Mom 2" star Kailyn Lowry, claims she needs protection from him. Following the reality star's shocking pregnancy announcement last week, Lowry has been granted a protection from abuse order against Marroquin and in a new interview, he's shedding light on what led up to the shocking turn of events.

“[Kailyn] said it’s because I harassed her via [text message] about all this divorce and guy stuff,” Marroquin explained to Radar Online on March 2. In turn, Marroquin explained, he signed a consent PFA, which means there was no actual evidence of abuse.

Now, the reality dad is unable to contact his former partner unless it is in reference to their 3-year-old son, Lincoln Marshall Marroquin.

On Twitter, Marroquin has confirmed that despite the news of Lowry's order against him, he's focused on his son. He also thanked fans for their support.

Javi Marroquin labels Kailyn Lowry's claims 'pathetic'

While Marroquin and Lowry certainly aren't on the best of terms, he insisted that his disputes with Lowry never turned physical and said the PFA was "pathetic.” As he told Radar Online, Lowry and everyone else knows that he would never threaten or put his hands on his former wife. “As a man, I have my proof and will get out of it,” he promised.

Javi Marroquin and his ex-wife split because she didn't want more children -- but then she did

As "Teen Mom 2" fans will recall, Lowry's decision to not have more children weighed heavily on their decision to part ways. Although Lowry, who recently "liked" a comment on Instagram about Marroquin dropping dead, wanted to focus on her career rather than expand her family, Marroquin wanted to have more kids and the issue put strain on their marriage.

Then, just six months after Lowry confirmed plans for divorce, she conceived a child with another man. According to Radar Online, Lowry's baby news came as a betrayal to Marroquin.
