Comedy is one of the most subjective forms of art. Every year, Hollywood and British filmmakers release dozens of funny films that take audience out of the doldrums of everyday life. Good comedy movies make us laugh for hours, and help to get rid of depression. Here is a list of comedy movies to look for in 2017. Some of these movies are scheduled to be released during the month of March, while the others are expected to hit the cinemas in next few months.

'T2: Trainspotting'

T2: Trainspotting” is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017. After the success of 1996’s “Trainspotting,” director Danny Boyle announced that he will make a sequel.

“T2: Trainspotting” will be released with little updates. This British black comedy has Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald. The movie is anticipated because it is deliberately self-referential, and has music and echoes from “Trainspotting.” The promos of the film reveal that Danny has worked hard to give it a unique look. John Hodge has written the screenplay. The characters look lively, and that’s why you should watch this movie.

'Snatched'

Snatched” is another anticipated film. It is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2017. Comedian Amy Schumer has made an excellent transition in this flick, and we are eagerly waiting to see his remarkable performance.

Director Jonathan Levine has teamed up with screenplay writers Katie Dippold, Amy Schumer, and Kim Caramele for the first time. I hope this movie will come up the expectations of Levine’s fans. It is a simple story of a mother and a daughter who get caught up in unexpected adventures. The film stars Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Óscar Jaenada, and Wanda Sykes.

'Rock That Body'

Marvel Studios will release “Rock That Body” on June 16, 2017. It is one of the most anticipated comedy films of the year. Previously, Marvel Studio was not ready to commit to a black widow movie, but this project must have a strong script, and that’s why they agreed to release it under their banner. Director Lucia Aniello has collaborated with screenplay writer Paul W.

Downs for this project. Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Paul W. Downs have played the leading roles in this upcoming flick.

'The House'

The House” is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2017. The director of this film is Andrew J. Cohen, and its scriptwriter is Brendan O'Brien. The film stars Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Ryan Simpkins, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Allison Tolman, Michaela Watkins, Cedric Yarbrough, and Jeremy Renner. It is a simple story of Scott (Ferrell) and his wife Kate (Poehler). The couple decides to raise their voice against illegal casinos in the town. The promos of the film are out, and it seems to be a wonderful comedy. Previously, director Adam McKay worked with Brendan on “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.” The duo has teamed up once again, and we have high expectations.
