Harry Potter” actor Jim Tavaré – who most know better for his role Tom, owner of the Leaky Cauldron – was severely injured in a Car Accident. The serious accident left him with several injuries including a punctured lung, 15 broken ribs, fractures in both of his breastbones, several breaks in his right leg, and a broken neck. It was the actor’s wife that took to her husband’s Facebook page on Tuesday to inform everyone of the accident. Within the Facebook post, Jim Tavaré’s wife revealed the “Harry Potter” actor was involved in a serious head-on collision.

His wife asked for good thoughts

Jim’s wife asked for good thoughts as the actor had had two blood transfusions and was heading in for his first surgery at the time of her post. She felt the need to clarify that the picture was real – not a makeup for a role in a movie. She asked people for good thoughts as the “Harry Potter” actor continued to fight to pull through.

Jim Tavaré is known for his role as Tom the owner of the Leaky Cauldron. He is also a comedian who had a hand in co-writing "The Sketch Series."

Unclear where the accident took place

Tavaré’s wife elected not to reveal exactly where or when the serious car accident took place. A few media outlets have speculated that given the fact that the “Harry Potter” star lives in Los Angeles and spends most of his time in Los Angeles that is likely where the accident took place.

In the alarming photo on Facebook, Jim appears to be in pretty rough shape. Fans and followers can see several bruises and gashes on his head and face. Even his eyes appear to be a little swollen. He did, however, give his worried fans a thumbs up in the picture his wife shared on Facebook when she informed everyone of the accident and his current condition.

The unfortunate truth is no one is immune to a car accident – and that includes celebrities. Celebrities just have the misfortunate of getting a spotlight shined on everything good and bad that happens in their lives. Fans and follows of the actor are encouraged to continue to send good thoughts as it will likely be a little while before Jim Tavaré completely recovers.
