The "Dancing With The Stars" 2017 cast was formally revealed during this morning's iteration of "Good Morning America," and for once, it may not be so easy to pick the Mirrorball Trophy winner from the get-go. The 12-celebrity lineup features an array of potential season 24 champions that boasts actors and stars from the world of sports, including the series' first-ever Major League Baseball player.
Complete 'Dancing with the Stars' 2017 lineup
The full roster for 'DWTS' season 24, which premieres March 20 on ABC, includes the following notables and their talented professional dance partners:
- Retired MLB star David Ross and Lindsay Arnold
- Olympic quadruple gold medalist Simone Biles and Sasha Farber
- Actress and comedian Charo and Keo Motsepe
- Olympic figure skating medalist Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev
- NFL running back Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater
- Iconic TV star Mr. T and Kym Herjavec
- "Glee" actress Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
- Fifth Harmony star Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
- Former PBR rider turned model Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess
- "Saturday Night Live" alum Chris Kattan and Witney Carson
- "The Bachelor" Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd
- "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko
So who's most likely to take the top prize?
It's hard to tell. Biles could easily follow in the footsteps of her Final Five teammate Laurie Hernandez, who claimed the season 23 trophy with Val Chmerkovskiy. The title could just as easily go to Morris, who has extensive dance experience, and it's never wise to count out a popular NFL star.
Notably absent 'DWTS' pros
The "DWTS" season 24 cast list features a few notable omissions in the professional dancer area. Former ballroom stars not taking part in the spring 2017 season of the hit reality dance competition include Allison Holker, who finished in 11th place with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds last season; Jenna Johnson, whose debut as a pro coach last season saw her finish dead last with Disney star Jake T.
Austin; all-star season champion Tony Dovolani; two-time winner Mark Ballas; and six-time "Dancing with the Stars" victor Derek Hough, who competed with actress Marilu Henner last fall.
