At the 42nd César Awards held in Paris, george clooney stated that the citizens of the world should work harder to not to let hate win. Without directly calling out the name of Donald Trump in his speech, George Clooney said that the actions of the President have caused dismay among the aliens living in the US and given comfort to the enemy. Clooney added that love trumps hate, courage trumps fear and right trumps wrong. Clooney was addressing the gathering after receiving an honorary César Award, the French counterpart of America’s Oscars. He was presented with a Career Award as “the most charismatic actor of his generation.”
During his interaction with the media, Clooney jokingly said that Paris is not safe anymore; it is not the same Paris.
Clooney was referring to the quote made by Trump that Paris is no longer Paris; it is a place of terrorist attacks and one of his friends does not wish to visit Paris anymore.
Amal Clooney outshines her César Award winning husband
George Clooney was accompanied by his beautiful wife Amal Clooney. Early this month, the couple made it official that Amal is pregnant with twins. This is the first time after confirming her pregnancy that Amal has stepped into the spotlight to express her support for her César Award winning husband.
Amal wore an Atelier Versace white colored gown and looked beautiful with her Baby Bump while George wore a black suit and looked cool as ever. George Clooney added that this is the first time the couple is coming to Paris together and they are planning to have a romantic weekend.
Clooney also spoke about the rumors regarding the gender of their babies. Clooney said that they don’t know where the rumors are coming from and added that they don’t know whether they are having a boy or a girl. He also added that they don’t wish to know before it happens.
George’s mother spills the beans
A few days back, George Clooney’s mother, Nina, confirmed that Amal is expecting twins, a baby boy, and a baby girl.
She was talking to Vogue magazine and could not hide her excitement about the arrival of the twins. She added that she and her husband are very much excited with the news of the babies and are looking forward to being their grandparents.
George also added that he wants his twins to be born in the United States as they have the best hospitals in the world, while, Amal added that she will teach her babies English with a British accent rather than an American accent. It looks like a busy time ahead for the beautiful couple. So far, there has been no response from the Trump camp in regard to George Clooney’s statements at the César Awards.
