We are only a few months into the year 2017 and it already appears to have been a pretty pressing year for celebrity relationships. Everything from marriages, to engagements, to celebrity couples who had just been dating for a while have ended in 2017. In fact, here are a few notable celebrity couples that came to an end this year.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom started dating back in January of 2016. The two vacationed together, met each other’s family members, and seemed like a pretty strong celebrity couple. Even Orlando’s ex-wife seemed to have nothing but positive things to say about Katy Perry.
Considering how solid the relationship seemed to be, it came as somewhat of a shock when the two announced that they were taking space from each other this month.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna
Blac Chyna who had been accused multiple times of trying to be like Kim Kardashian called off her engagement to Rob earlier this year. The two had a very long list of problems during the year they were together including the fact that the other Kardashians didn’t really like her. Many speculated part of the problem was because Blac’s best friend – Amber Rose – happened to be Kanye’s ex. Even though the celebrity couple isn’t together anymore, they will continue to be in each other’s lives as they do have a baby together – who was born in November of last year.
Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac
Scarlett and her husband Romain technically split-up in the summer of last year, but it was not until January that they made news of their divorce public. This celebrity break-up was pretty big news as it is the second time Scarlett has gotten a divorce. It was shortly after confirming she was single again that Johansson revealed she didn’t really think it was natural to be in a monogamous relationship.
Johansson and Dauriac had been together since they secretly got married back in 2014. The two remain friendly and share a daughter together who was born the same year they got married.
