Radziwill has endured a lot of pain since the night she found out her cousin-in-law and best friend were killed when their plane crashed on the way to Martha's Vineyard.

You probably wouldn't have guessed how connected Carole Radziwill is to the Kennedy family. Her deceased husband, Anthony Radziwill was the cousin of John F.

Kennedy Jr. She was also best friends with his wife, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. They often spent time together with their husbands and just as girlfriends paling around. Although it has been nearly two decades since they passed, Radziwill still remembers the night well.

HLN is featuring a story about that fateful night when John F. Kennedy's plane went down and lives were lost. Carole Radziwill will be giving commentary on what went down and how things happened. "How It Really Happened: JFK Jr.'s Tragic Final Flight" will be airing Friday night. Radziwill talked about how she had gotten a call from Carolyn as they boarded the plane and the conversation was not out of the ordinary. She then recalled the phone call from Kennedy's friend, Pinky telling her they didn't arrive and that is when she jumped into action.

Unfortunately, three days later the bodies of Kennedy, Bessette-Kennedy, and Lauren Bessette were discovered.

The plane crash happened in July of 1999 and less than a month later, Carole Radziwill lost her husband, Anthony, after a long battle with testicular cancer. This was tough for the entire family, especially with it being just weeks after losing three other family members in a tragic accident.

Jackie Onassis Kennedy was Anthony's aunt as his mother and her were sisters. 1999 was a tough year for Carole Radziwill and after nearly two decades, she is talking about that part of her life very candidly.
