Get ready for another Duggar wedding and expect it to be televised on TLC. Joy-Anna Duggar will soon walk down the aisle to marry Austin Forsyth with Us Weekly reporting that the couple "just got engaged" and they are both excited to start their lives together.
Joy-Anna, 19, and Austin, 22, have made a number of appearance on TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff "Counting On," so fans were well aware that they were progressing towards engagement. The bride-to-be tells Us that she's "excited to be engaged" to her best friend because the next step is marriage.
After all, when you're one of the Duggar kids, intimacy is out of the question until marriage, so there's no doubt she'll want to move on from the side-hugging as soon as possible.
The proposal
Before Austin proposed, he asked Joy-Anna's dad, Jim Bob Duggar, permission to propose, a moment that was shown during the February 2 "Counting On" season finale. Fans saw Austin gush over Joy-Anna when he spoke about her to Jim Bob, stating that he admires her "heart for the Lord" and her beauty. The couple reveals that once Daddy Duggar gave the go-ahead, Austin proposed to Joy-Anna in a "special place" in the woods.
A life-long friendship
Although their romance is fairly new, Austin and Joy-Anna have known each other for about 15 years.
Their courtship started less than four months ago and, prior to their engagement, they had to follow the Duggar rules — no kissing or holding hands and their get-togethers required a chaperone.
Marriage and babies
Joy-Anna will be the fourth girl in the Duggar Family to get married and it won't be long before fans start talking about the couple's plans for having children.
Three of her sisters got pregnant shortly after getting married so she may follow in their footsteps.
In November, Jinger married former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo and there are already rumors swirling online that Jinger may be pregnant. Jessa and Ben have two children and were married in November 2014. Jill and Derrick married in June 2014 and have one son and another baby boy due in July.
