Katy Perry experienced an awkward moment on the Red Carpet once again. The "Chained To The Rhythm" singer walked out in the middle of an interview ahead of the Brit Awards on Wednesday night (Feb. 22). This is the second time in the month that the international pop star had an awkward red carpet interview. She was interviewed by Lilah Parsons and George Shelley on the red carpet, which took place at London's O2 Arena before she took to the stage to perform her new politically-charged song. She admitted that she was looking forward to performing her new single and that she was taking something to help calm her nerves.

Katy Perry mentioned the Grammys and how her Brit Awards performance is an extension of that. She was then asked if she was nervous about performing in front of the crowd of millions, to which she blubbered she had taken pills to get rid of the butterflies in her stomach. She then changed the question and said that she was looking forward to seeing Ed Sheeran perform that night.
The "Union J" star told her that he was already in the arena, which she took as a hint to leave the interview. The "Roar" singer also sarcastically joked that she was going to personally fire the hosts herself. She then handed her microphone back to the former "X Factor UK" host.

Later that night, all eyes were on the singer's performance when one of her backup dancers fell off the stage. One of the backup dancers, dressed up as a white house, fell off the stage while she performed her new single.
Fans quickly took to social media to call the backup dancer the new left shark – a reference to her 2015 Super Bowl performance when one of her backup dancers fell out of line with the rest of them. The songstress also targeted British Prime Minister Theresa May and U.S. President Donald Trump with a skeleton holding hands during her performance.

Katy Perry's bizarre appearance at the Brit Awards comes shortly after she dissed fellow pop star Britney Spears on the red carpet not once but twice at the Grammys earlier this month. She threw shade at the "Slumber Party" star when she cracked a joke on the red carpet with CBS and E! News about not shaving her head and experiencing a meltdown just yet. It was a reference to Spears' infamous 2007 incident in which she shaved her head and hit a member of the paparazzi's car with an umbrella. Fans created the hashtag #KatyPerryIsOverParty, which quickly trended on Twitter that very night.
