Singer Daryl "Captain" Dragon -- best known as 1/2 of the singing duo Captain and Tennille believes his life is in danger at the hands of his caregiver.

Police called for home health check of 70's pop star Daryl 'Captain' Dragon

Dragon, 74, is currently spending what is believed to be his final days in hospice care at his Arizona rental home, suffering from Parkinson's disease. Dragon also believes that one of his caregivers is trying to kill him and recently made a 911 call from his home to the local police department.

Radar Online reports reveal that they have obtained a copy of the police incident report revealing that a unit was dispatched for a health check to Dragon's home back in August after the homeowner reported receiving a phone message from Daryl making the same claim.

The police report states that upon arriving at Daryl's home they found the singer "sleeping" and "secure," noting in the report that there was no "indication of criminal activity."

Daryl Dragon never got over divorce from Toni Tennille

Daryl, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, has two aides who provide daily home care, one aide spoke with officers, stating that she knew Daryl "had made numerous phone calls earlier in the day." Sadly for the singer, he has been in rapidly declining health since 2014, just after his wife and former singing partner toni tennille filed for divorce.

Tennille claimed at the time of their split that Daryl was a hypochondriac. Toni also mentions Daryl's health issues in her 2016 memoir, somewhat insulting the singer's health issues and joking about his failed hair transplant.

The 70's singing duo is best known for hits such as "Muskrat Love," "Love Will Keep Us Together," and "Do That To Me One More Time." The couple also hosted their own, popular variety show on ABC.

After 39-years of marriage, Toni Tennille secretly filed for divorce from Daryl, who claims he was unaware of their marital situation until he was blindly served with divorce papers.

"I still love Toni," he told Radar at the time of the filing. "The divorce was her idea. I was never unfaithful to her. I can't figure it out."

Toni's view on the divorce after nearly four decades of marriage was entirely different. The singer acknowledges that during their time together they did share a successful career, but Tennille claims that the marriage failed due to "intimacy issues."
