2016 has been remarkable in terms of movie releases. I was personally delighted when some of the most anticipated Movies on my list turned out to be as good as I had expected. I have picked out some of the most interesting movies set out to release this year and looking at the list, and I have to say I am pretty excited.

Action/thriller

  • Justice League (November 17, 2017):

Starring some of the most imminent names in Hollywood, Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Ezra Miller (the Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) form the darkest, grittiest version of the Justice League we have witnessed yet.

  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5, 2017)

Another fab creation of Marvel Studios, starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zor Saldana as Gamora and Vin Diesel as Groot, is an American superhero film. The movie might give “The Avengers” a staggering jolt.

  • Wonder Woman (June 2, 2017):

In 2017, Warner Bros. are reviving another eulogized protagonist, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and hoping to turn their fortunes around after the backlash Batman Vs Superman received. Wonder Woman, the female vigilante explores her true powers while fighting alongside soldiers during World War I.

  • Logan (March 2, 2017):

The Wolverine has left an impressionable mark among the gigantic fanbase of X-Men and nobody would have done justice to the role better than Hugh Jackman.

The movie is schemed in a futuristic era where mutant births are drastically declining and a private operation is turning all remaining ones into killing machines.

  • Thor: Ragnarok (October 25, 2017):

Seems like 2017 is the year of Marvel superheroes. You need a very peculiar taste to appreciate the depth that lies in the character of Thor.

Ragnorak stars newbies in series, like Tessa Thompson and Cate Blanchett, alongside the profoundly admired, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk).

Sci-Fi

  • Transformers: The Last Knight (June 23, 2017):

The upcoming American Sci-Fi action movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Isabella Moner and is the fifth installment of the live-action Transformers film series.

  • Star Wars: Episode VIII ( December 15, 2017):

The second installment in the Star Wars sequel trilogy following Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie stars Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywaler).

Drama

  • Fifty Shades Darker ( February 9, 2017):

The continuing adventures the two sensational characters, Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey is a welcoming thought for Fifty Shades fans where they re-unite to work out the differences that drove them apart.

  • Beauty & The Beast (March 17, 2017);

Starring the ever graceful Harry Potter star, Emma Watson as the Beauty (Belle) alongside the Beast played by Bill Condon, the movie will revive the applauded Disney fairytale.

Comedy

  • Pitch Perfect 3 (December 22, 2017):

Make way for the Barden Bellas as they are back with yet another dynamic acapella session, starring the hilarious Rebel Wilson as our favorite character Fat Amy and Anna Kendrick as Becca.

Horror

  • Saw: Legacy (October 20, 2017):

Another Saw sequel that will send shivers down your spine with a ruthless torture session.

  • Insidious: Chapter 4 (October 20, 2017)

The fourth installment in the Insidious franchise will take you on another trip to “The Further”.

  • Annabelle 2 (August 11, 2017):

Another spine-chilling horror after the prequel Annabelle, Annabelle 2 is the fourth installment overall in The Conjuring film series.

Animated

  • Cars 3 (June 16, 2017):

Production of Walt Disney and Pixar features, Cars 3 features a new generation of blazing-fast racers. It is the time when the legend Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is taken out of the spotlight and will need the assistance of a technician to get him back into the game.

  • The Boss Baby (March 31, 2017):

An American 3D computer-animated movie inspired lightly from a 2010 picture book, shows a briefcase-carrying baby named the "Baby Boss".
