Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are proud parents of their first child together. Jackson gave birth to a son on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The parents have already named him Eissa Al Mana. Jackson's representative reported that the mother had a stress-free, healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.
Janet's journey
Janet Jackson married Wissam Al Mana in 2012. This was her third husband, but it was his first marriage. Back in April 2016, the singer announced she was canceling her "Unbreakable' world tour" because she and her 41-year-old Qatari business magnate billionaire husband were planning to start a family.
Then in May she confirmed that they were expecting a baby. The 50-year-old music icon was not been seen very often during her pregnancy because her doctor put her on bedrest during the latter phase. She was seen back in September wearing baggy clothes as she shopped in London’s Back in Action furniture store.
News from family
When Janet's family was asked how she was during her pregnancy, they all said the expectant mother was super excited about starting a family. They added that Janet said starting a family was one of the best things to ever happen to her. Since the baby is a boy, Al Mana has a male heir to carry on his name.
Janet's older brother Jermaine Jackson shared a few details about his youngest sister’s pregnancy during an interview on the "Wendy Williams" show.
Jermaine has nine children of his own. Therefore, he said he joked with his baby sister that he has parenting skills, and he would be willing to babysit because he is the best diaper changer on earth.
Janet's fans are excited that the seven-time Grammy award winner had a smooth delivery and that mother and son are doing well.
Everyone is hoping to see photos of the baby soon. Because of Janet's age, there had been many negative comments and doubts about her pregnancy when it was first announced. Now that she has given birth, hopefully everyone will be happy for Janet because of the new addition to her family.
