Tyler Perry's "The Haves and the Have Nots" returns on the Oprah Winfrey Network on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Fans are looking forward to all new episodes in the upcoming season because a lot of loose ends were left hanging during the finale on September 6, 2016.
The popular drama series
"The Haves and the Have Nots" consistently ranks number one on cable TV on Tuesday nights. The finale left 4.1 million viewers wanting answers to questions. Almost all of the main characters had an issue that was not settled and will be addressed in upcoming episodes of Tyler Perry's popular prime time soap opera.
What to expect this season
In the finale, Kathryn Cryer killed D.A. Jennifer Sallison at her mansion while Veronica watched in disbelief. After Kathryn shoots Sallison several times, she tells Veronica, who is a good attorney, to get her off for the crime she just witnessed. Kathryn promises to kill Veronica if she does not clear her. After Kathryn is taken to jail, Veronica tries to get her off with an insanity defense. Jim Cryer is stunned at what his wife has done and calls in favors from people who can help get Kathryn out of jail. That's ironic, because he spent all of last season in jail himself.
Candace has caused her mother, Hanna, and brother, Benny, to lose everything they owned. Benny needs $2 million dollars to save his towing company.
In the meantime, Candace and Jeffrey worry about the police finding Quincy's body that is buried in Candace's backyard. The police do not locate the body during a normal search, but return with electronics to scan the entire area. One of the officers finds the body, but he decides not to share this information with the other policemen.
He has a reason for keeping this a secret.
Everybody seems to be in trouble, and everybody seems to be trying to get out of trouble. It will probably take the entire season to find out all the details about what will happen with the main characters on the drama series from Tyler Perry.
Watch "The Haves and the Have Nots" on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on OWN to find out what will happen with the characters and their problems.
