Remember "The Bachelor: London Calling" star Matt Grant? If you're a die-hard fan of ABC's popular reality show, you'll remember when Matt got down on one knee and proposed to Shayne Lamas on the May 2008 season finale. More than eight years later, he tells People magazine that he's still close friends with Lamas but has finally found the love of his life and they're getting married this year.

Matt got engaged to Rebecca Morning on Christmas Eve in Australia and says that he is happy to be marrying the woman he calls his "best friend." The couple met at a pub in London something Grant says is a "refreshing change" from dating on TV.

After celebrating their engagement during the holidays in Perth, Australia with Rebecca's family, the couple is now planning their big day which will take place at the Brympton House, a location known as one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the UK.

What happened to Matt and Shayne?

Matt Grant proposed to "Bachelor" contestant Shayne Lamas on the finale of the reality show's 12th season, but their relationship didn't last long. In July 2008, two months after the finale aired on ABC, the couple announced their split. However, their breakup with Shayne wasn't a bitter one with Matt telling People that they truly care about each other and remain close friends."

Lamas, who is the daughter of soap star Lorenzo Lamas, married Nik Richie in 2010.

Richie, who is best known for his website The Dirty, married Shayne in Las Vegas on April 18, 2010, eight hours after they first met. The couple is still married, but their relationship has been a rocky one — as evidenced by their appearance on "Couples Therapy" in 2014.

Shayne and Nik welcomed a daughter, Press, in November 2011, but Shayne's second pregnancy in 2015 was terminated due to serious internal bleeding.

In July 2015, they announced the birth of their son, Lyon, via surrogate.
