Acclaimed filmmaker Jayatheertha's new Kannada movie "Beautiful Manasugalu" was released on January 20, 2017, and just like his previous films, this movie too is receiving positive reviews from all corners. With a clever narrative, the director has made a brilliant film which is based on a real-life incident.

A touching fairytale romance

The film revolves around the story of Prasanth, a happy young man who falls in love with a beautician by name Nandhini. In the initial days, their romance went on like a fairytale, and the couples enjoyed their romantic life to the fullest.

On one unfortunate day, an unexpected event happened, and it ruined their lives as well as the lives of those around them.

Through this movie, director Jayatheertha has addressed two socially relevant issues; corruption and the obsession of channels towards breaking news.

The director has discussed love, romance, and aspirations in this movie, and he has also showcased the ill effects of portraying women as commodities in channels and films.

Sathish Ninsam who did the role of male lead has given full justice to his role. Sruthi Hariharan excelled in emotional scenes, while Achyuth Kumar as always put up a rock solid show.

Being a romantic thriller, music has a huge significance in determining the overall mood of the movie. Bharath BJ's background scores were apt, and the songs were all peppy in nature.

The film is locking horns with Varun's "Arivu" in the box-office. As both these movies have impressed the audiences, competition in Sandalwood is quite tight this time. In all probabilities, "Beautiful Manasugalu" will gross more than Rs 6 Crores INR by the end of this week.
