Amy Duggar got married a while back to Dillon King. Amy is known for her time on her family show "19 Kids and Counting," but since it was canceled Amy hasn't been on their new show just yet. It turns out that Amy hasn't actually changed her name yet and this is a sore spot in their marriage. Amy and Dillon are on the new season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" and during a recent episode this came up. Dillon is not happy about it at all.
Why hasn't Amy changed her last time?
Amy Duggar shared that her mom lost her birth certificate during a move.
She said this was the reason that she hasn't changed her last name just yet. Of course, Dillon King doesn't seem to be buying this reason. By this point, she could have applied for a new one or done something about it if it was really important to her. It is unknown if Amy has done it yet since the show got done filming a while back. This is very important to her new husband so you would assume that she would work towards getting this taken care of for him.
You have to wonder a bit if Amy likes that her name is Duggar because it is a very well-known name because of her family having a show on TLC. Amy has been seen on the show, though. She could also change her name to Amy Duggar King, but it sounds like she is going to be eventually be just changing it to King.
If you look at her Instagram page, it says her name is Amy Rachelle King, but that doesn't mean she changed it already legally.
Amy and Dillon have made it obvious that they have their own problems on the show, but they seem to be working through it all. They haven't been married for very long and are learning how to work through everything and now to be a married couple.
