Bobby Brown, the father of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown and ex-husband of Whitney Houston nearly died on December 19th by nearly bleeding to death after his intestines exploded while he was home alone at his Tarzana, California home.

Bobby Brown medical crisis revealed

New reports claim that Brown, 47, collapsed at his home and then managed to gain the strength to pull it together to drive himself to a nearby hospital emergency room for treatment. Best known for his time with First Edition, his volatile and dysfunctional relationship with Whitney Houston and father to Bobbi Kristina it is claimed that Brown was just minutes from death when he arrived at the hospital with just one liter of blood left in his body.

"It was terrifying and rocked Bobby to the core," a source told Radar Online. "It really looked like the end."

Bobby Brown was treated with a two-day hospital stay and a blood transfusion and has since been released and is said to be on the road to recovery. This is where many celebrity news followers find the details a bit odd. It would seem to most that after such a serious incident as exploding intestines and major blood loss, one would require a more extensive and lengthy treatment.

It is not known at this time just what caused Brown's intestines to 'explode," it is however, speculated that the medical emergency could be linked to Brown's past excessive drug and alcohol abuse.

"After everything that Bobby's gone through with Whitney (Houston) and Bobbi he's a nervous wreck" claims the source. And with good reason. As previously reported, 2016 has unofficially been dubbed as the year of the celebrity death curse taking from the world more than 100 popular Celebrities and entertainers within a tragic 12-month span.

Brown made news headlines back in September after it was revealed that Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon had been found legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown's death after he failed to appear in court for the civil hearing in Atlanta, he was found in contempt of court with the judge's ruling was made by default, Gordon was also ordered to pay $50 million to the Brown.Houston family. Bobby Brown released a statement that he was happy about the decision and felt the judge had been fair with his ruling.
