Many people were surprised when a news item was circulated that Donald while on a trip to Moscow, had indulged in some salacious acts in which Russian women of low character were allegedly involved in what is known as "golden Showers." The timing of the news is interesting as it comes close on the heels of an attempt to "box in" the president-elect by saying that Russia had hacked into the election system in America to try and leverage a victory for Donald Trump. Perhaps the old Dr. Goebbles theory "that a lie repeated a 100 times becomes a truth" is well understood by the opponents of Donald Trump.
The point at issue is not that the Russians had hacked the system but to show the world that Donald is not a credible winner and won the election by external help. Frankly, this is an insult to the American election system and such an attempt has never been alleged earlier. But America is so divided now at the prospect of a man coming into power who is more of a revolutionary than a status quo man has frightened his opponents and now nothing is sacred as news of his sexual misadventures are splashed all over.
Fake incident?
Donald has called the incident in Moscow a fake. Before this so called, revelation, there were dark hints that the Russians had something to damage Donald. The Russians denied it but one could be sure that something salacious would be dished out.
It has happened now and the tabloid is full of this news. The best part of this story is that it has come just a week or so before the inauguration. One wonders how the people who matter and were combing the past life of Donald did not come out with this tale to malign him earlier. Probably it's an afterthought and they have followed the adage "if all else fails to try something preposterous"
Unable to digest a defeat
America is divided and many Americans have not reconciled to a defeat at the hustings and rise of Trump who for months was dismissed as a serial liar and clown. The clown is the winner and that is something difficult to digest. President Obama seeing his term being reduced to a nondescript one is also thought by some to be a part of this plan.
