In recent days, Donald Trump has returned his focus back on the debate over immigration reform. In his latest tweetstorm, the president went back to attacking former President Barack Obama.
As ridiculous as it sounds, the laws of our country do not easily allow us to send those crossing our Southern Border back where they came from. A whole big wasted procedure must take place. Mexico & Canada have tough immigration laws, whereas ours are an Obama joke. ACT CONGRESS

Trump on Obama
Since the start of his campaign for president back in June 2015, Donald Trump has made immigration reform a top political priority.
However, from the moment he labeled illegal immigrants from Mexico as "rapists" and "murderers," Trump created a wide divide on the issue, as well as many others, that has only continued to present day. Over the holiday weekend, Trump took to Twitter on multiple occasions to rip into the Democratic Party over the issue of immigration, going as far as to declare that "Daca is dead." During Monday's White House Easter Egg Roll, Trump spoke to reporters and once again doubled down on his attack on Democrats over DACA.
Honduras, Mexico and many other countries that the U.S. is very generous to, sends many of their people to our country through our WEAK IMMIGRATION POLICIES. Caravans are heading here. Must pass tough laws and build the WALL. Democrats allow open borders, drugs and crime!

During a tweet on April 2, Donald Trump continued his attack on immigration, this time bringing up Barack Obama in the process.
"As ridiculous as it sounds, the laws of our country do not easily allow us to send those crossing our Southern Border back where they came from. A whole big wasted procedure must take place," Trump tweeted. "Mexico & Canada have tough immigration laws, whereas ours are an Obama joke. ACT CONGRESS," he added while taking a shot to Barack Obama.
Not stopping there, Donald Trump expressed his frustration in a follow-up tweet. "Honduras, Mexico and many other countries that the U.S. is very generous to, sends many of their people to our country through our WEAK IMMIGRATION POLICIES," Trump tweeted. "Caravans are heading here. Must pass tough laws and build the WALL," he wrote, while concluding, "Democrats allow open borders, drugs and crime!"
Twitter backlash
After Donald Trump sent out his pair of tweets, those who oppose his administration made sure to chime in.
"You are the one sounding ridiculous, constantly blaming and bullying everyone. Sad times for America," one tweet read.
Obama was intelligent, classy, and respected. You are ignorant, crass, and debased.

You’re married to an immigrant. You’re the grandson of immigrants. This country was founded by and for immigrants. So shut the fuck up with your nationalist bullshit.

Probably because this country has always been a beacon to others to come here and enjoy our freedoms and prosperity. Our diversity is one of the things that make this country great.

False. See Expedited removal. https://t.co/UpJhzSgpv8 Also, the law was passed in 1996, way before Obama. Yes, Congress should act, but as a check/balance to your authority.
