Donald Trump has been outspoken in his opposition to United States trade policy leading up to his shocking decision earlier this week on the issue. In defense of his recent trade proposals, the president decided to fire back on social media.
The United States has an $800 Billion Dollar Yearly Trade Deficit because of our “very stupid” trade deals and policies. Our jobs and wealth are being given to other countries that have taken advantage of us for years. They laugh at what fools our leaders have been. No more!

Trump on trade
Since the early days of his campaign for president back in the summer of 2015, Donald Trump made the issue of trade a corner stone of his agenda.
After being elected to office, he's done very little on the topic until earlier this week when he called to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. NBC News reported on Saturday that Trump was allegedly "angry" and "unglued" when he started the trade war, causing markets to shift in the process.
If the E.U. wants to further increase their already massive tariffs and barriers on U.S. companies doing business there, we will simply apply a Tax on their Cars which freely pour into the U.S. They make it impossible for our cars (and more) to sell there. Big trade imbalance!

As seen during a pair of tweets on March 3, Donald Trump is doubling down on his decision while blasting previous administrations.
"The United States has an $800 Billion Dollar Yearly Trade Deficit because of our 'very stupid' trade deals and policies," Trump tweeted out. "Our jobs and wealth are being given to other countries that have taken advantage of us for years," he stated, before adding, "They laugh at what fools our leaders have been. No more!"

In a follow-up tweet, Donald Trump directed his frustration at the European Union.
"If the E.U. wants to further increase their already massive tariffs and barriers on U.S. companies doing business there, we will simply apply a Tax on their Cars which freely pour into the U.S," Trump wrote. "They make it impossible for our cars (and more) to sell there. Big trade imbalance!" he concluded.
Trade reaction
As expected, Donald Trump's tweets and plans on trade didn't go over well with critics.
"Yet you and Ivanka manufacture all of your goods overseas," a tweet read.
Now they laugh at the foolish “leader” that we have. Is that really MAGA?

U have someone send this so we wouldn’t think I are at golf course?

Yes, THE WORLD IS CERTAINLY LAUGHING AT YOUR EVERY STUPID MOVE! YOU HAVEN’T DONE A THING RIGHT IN YOUR LIFETIME!

"U have someone send this so we wouldn’t think I are at golf course?" a tweet went on to read. "Now they laugh at the foolish 'leader' that we have. Is that really MAGA?" a Twitter user asked. "You are the only foolish leader they are laughing at. You will be impeached," yet another tweet noted.
Donald stop listening to idiots before you put the U.S. economy in chaos! The old Marine on the hill.

"Will you please shut the hell up and do your damn job? God your embarrassment to this country," a social media user wrote. "Donald stop listening to idiots before you put the U.S. economy in chaos! The old Marine on the hill," an additional tweet added. The negative reactions continued to pour in as the opposition to Donald Trump and the entire administration showed no signs of slowing down despite the president's aggression.
