As the Conservative Political Action Conference (Cpac) comes to an end, results of the event's polling have been released. After Donald Trump gloated about what was revealed, it didn't take long before critics decided to speak out.
BIG CPAC STRAW POLL RESULTS: 93% APPROVE OF THE JOB PRESIDENT TRUMP IS DOING (Thank you!). 50% say President Trump should Tweet MORE or SAME (funny!). 79% say Republicans in Congress should do a better job of working with President Trump (starting to happen).

Trump on CPAC
For the last 45 years, conservatives have gathered together to attend the yearly event known as CPAC.
Conservative activists and elected officials from around the United States come together in a show of attempted unity, with various figures making speeches and holding debates as those on the political right celebrate their conservatism. In addition, CPAC holds an annual straw poll to see where conservative voters stand on a variety of issues, including their choice for president. For 2018, Donald Trump decided to attend and was well-received.

Following the results of the CPAC polling, Donald Trump quickly took to Twitter on February 24 to gloat about the results, while taking a shot at the Republican Party in the process by pointing out that the majority of conservatives want congressional members to put more time into working with the president.
"BIG cpac straw poll RESULTS: 93% APPROVE OF THE JOB PRESIDENT TRUMP IS DOING (Thank you!)," Trump tweeted. "50% say President Trump should Tweet MORE or SAME (funny!)," Trump said in respond to what conservative voters think about his social media habits. "79% say Republicans in Congress should do a better job of working with President Trump (starting to happen)," he concluded.
One aspect of the poll that Trump didn't comment on was that one of his biggest rivals, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, was polled as being the biggest threat to his re-election in 2020.
Twitter reaction
Not long after Donald Trump tweeted about CPAC, he was instantly met by angry critics in the comment section who didn't hold back with their thoughts.
"A real President would condemn the racist comments made by Ian Walters about Michael Steele. Unfortunately you're NOT Sad!" one tweet went on to read.
They may as well have done a polling of your cabinet members, what the hamburger do you expect for them to say?

Wow, I’m impressed, you took a roomful of #Trump loyalists, and 93% of them approved of you, who’d have thought.

I wonder what percent of people show up to restaurants so they can eat?

"And your boasting about a poll done in a vacuum of conservative Trumpanzees, why?
They may as well have done a polling of your cabinet members, what the hamburger do you expect for them to say?" Bishop Talbert Swan tweeted back. "So glad you’re having such fun with your buddies at CPAC chatting about yer tweets n stuff. Kids are getting murdered," yet another tweet stated.

"The pole that Stormy Daniels dances on doesn't think you're doing a good job," an additional tweet noted.
"Wow, I’m impressed, you took a roomful of Trump loyalists, and 93% of them approved of you, who’d have thought. I wonder what percent of people show up to restaurants so they can eat?" a sarcastic Twitter user wondered.
