Over the last week, increased questions have been raised in regards to certain individuals having security clearance at the White House. In her best attempt to defend the administration, Sarah Huckabee Sanders deflected blame onto the media.

Sanders and the press
The biggest political story over the last week has been the resignation of former White House staffer Rob Porter after his history of alleged domestic abuse became public.
Porter has since denied the allegations, leading to Donald Trump praising his work in the administration while later casting doubt on the accusers during an angry tweetstorm. Following the news about Porter, the issue of careless security clearance rules have become a hot topic, with the White House appearing to dodge questions on the issue at every turn.
On whether Pres. Trump believes former White House staffer's accusers, Press Sec. Sanders tells @CeciliaVega Pres. Trump believes all allegations of domestic violence need to be thoroughly investigated. "I'm not going to go beyond that. That's where we are right now." pic.twitter.com/ibSBuSBnwp

The topic was addressed during the February 12 press briefing at the White House with Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
When asked about Rob Porter's security clearance, and others able to obtain access into the White House, Sanders turned the tables by accusing the press of putting national security at risk. "If you guys have real concerns about leaking out classified information, look around this room," Sanders said. "You guys are the ones that publish classified information and put national security at risk," she added.
When pressed further on where Donald Trump stands on the accusers of Rob Porter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders once again gave a vague response. "The president supports victims of domestic violence, and believe everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with due process," she said, before later adding, "I'm not going to go beyond that.
That's where we are right now."

Sarah Huckabee Sanders you are a liar just like your boss. This is not a witch hunt, you are just as guilty as he is when you stand there and get paid for spreading lies about domestic abuse. Abuse knows no color and affects women of all races.#RobPorter #MeToo

"So Sarah Huckabee Sanders went on TV to lie about the White House and POTUS supporting abusers and pedophiles.
She completed her shameful comments by throwing blame for giving security clearances onto the media! MAGA folks are brain-dead," another Twitter user wrote. "Every day (SHS) trots out a binder full of crazy gas-lighting Fox idiocy, hoping she can get through the day until the next crazy BS gas-lighting Fox idiocy. WE SEE YOU," a follow-up tweet added.
