It's no secret that there have been reports of marital issues between Donald Trump and Melania Trump. When the topic came up during a segment on CNN, the hosts couldn't stop laughing.
CNN on Trump's marriage
Just one month before the 2016 presidential election, the now infamous "Access Hollywood" tape was released and revealed the private sexual thoughts of Donald Trump. Over the course of the next four weeks, a dozen women came forward to accuse Trump of various acts of sexual assault and harassment. As expected, Trump has denied the allegations, but the rumors and reports of his behavior have only followed him into the White House.

Since the start of the new year, Donald Trump has been linked to multiple affairs, including adult film star Stormy Daniels with a report alleging the two had relations while Melania Trump was pregnant back in 2006. Melania hasn't addressed the issue, but has appeared distant from the president, resulting in many to speculate about the current state of their marriage. As seen on the February 26 edition of "New Day," CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota spoke to White House reporter Kate Bennett about the issue. "She has been quiet," Bennett said, before adding, "One cannot help but wonder what might be going on behind the scenes and whether she's expressing herself and some frustration just by being quiet."
In response, Chris Cuomo couldn't help but laugh.
"We're looking for clues," Cuomo said as he struggled to hold back laughter. "Remember this stuff?" He said to his co-host as he acted out the way Melania has been seen smacking away Donald Trump's hand in various videos. "All I'm saying is...whatever happens with them, happens, but we don't have to hunt for clues." The two continued to laugh as the marriage between the president and first lady remains a mystery.
Moving forward
In the last two months, Melania Trump has kept herself busy while appearing to avoid being seen with Donald Trump in public. The first lady canceled her scheduled appearance with the president last month when he went on a foreign trip to Switzerland just days after the report of an affair with Stormy Daniels. While the office of the first lady claimed it was simply a "scheduling issue" that caused the change, the consensus appears to be that there is trouble between the two, which was also highlighted when the first couple failed to acknowledge each other on Valentine's Day and their wedding anniversary.
