After yet another round of tweets by Donald Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was forced to explain his statements, as well as his current physical health. Following her response, Sanders came under fire from critics across social media.

Sanders on Trump

Over the last year, and during his entire campaign, Donald Trump made headlines on an almost daily basis due to his controversial policy proposals and reckless behavior on Twitter. Since the new year, the president has increased his use of Twitter in an attempt to push back against the constant stream of scandals while attempting to deflect attention to more positive aspects of the administration.

On Thursday morning, Trump sent out several tweets, including attacks on Democrats and Hillary Clinton, as well as his opposition to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance (FISA) which he believes led to the release of the now infamous "pee tape" dossier. In addition, questions continue to be raised about the president's physical and mental health since the release of Michael Wolff's book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." These issues and more were discussed during the latest press briefing, as reported by CBS News on January 11.

While taking questions from reporters on Thursday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed several issues brought up the media.

"(The doctor) will put out a brief statement, but will take the weekend to compile the rest of the results -- lab results," Sanders said. Sanders then confirmed that the president's physician will appear at the press briefing next Tuesday to answer questions from the media about Trump's current health, but declined to comment further on the health of the commander in chief.

When pressed on the issue of FISA, which was extended by the House of Representatives just hours after Donald Trump's aforementioned tweet, Sarah Huckabee Sanders did her best to clarify.

"The president fully supports the 702 and was to see happy that it passed the House, but he does have some overall concern with the FISA program," she said.

Twitter reaction

Not long after giving her press briefing, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was ripped across Twitter. "It's be nice to see actual documents regarding exam. I can see some lying going on regarding report from White House come Tuesday," one tweet read.

"Hes probably going to lie about his height, so he seems 'less' fat," a Twitter user added.

"If it does not test #Trump's Mental Incapacity it is useless," another tweet added. "I thought they have a makeup & hair stylist at WH...Huckabee looks like hell!" a tweet read in reference to Sanders' appearance.

"The rudest most condescending person I have ever seen...I have to mute her or my TV might end up broken," an additional tweet noted. "OMG, the way Sarah Huckabee Sanders says "process" makes me want to punch her in pouty face," a follow-up tweet added.
