Donald Trump has only been in office for nine months, but his approval rating has dropped to historic lows. Despite this, the president took time to gloat about the start of his presidency on social media.
Trump on Twitter
When Donald Trump announced that he was running for president, not many took him too seriously. In the months that followed, the former host of "The Apprentice" picked up steam and ended up being nominated at the Republican National Convention. In the general election, Trump took millions by surprise by defeating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, despite controversy surrounding his victory in regards to alleged Russian interference.
Since his inauguration, the president has failed to follow through on many of his campaign promises due to opposition from Democrats, as well as being unable to get on the same page as some of his fellow Republicans. Trump has also acted out in similar fashion as he had during the election, picking fights Hollywood stars and professional athletes, increasing the in-fighting in his own administration, while dealing with new scandals that appear to pop-up on a routine basis. While Trump's time in the White House has been inconsistent at best, that didn't stop the president from bragging about his presidency during a series of tweets on October 21.
I agree getting Tax Cuts approved is important (we will also get HealthCare), but perhaps no Administration has done more in its first.....

Taking to Twitter on Saturday night, Donald Trump decided to pat himself on the back and list what he's most proud as president, while claiming to have the best start of an commander in chief in history.
"I agree getting Tax Cuts approved is important (we will also get HealthCare), but perhaps no Administration has done more in its first 9 months than this Administration," he tweeted.
...9 months than this Administration. Over 50 Legislation approvals, massive regulation cuts, energy freedom, pipelines, border security....

Donald Trump then went on to list exactly what he thinks his highlight moments are so far in 2017.
"Over 50 Legislation approvals, massive regulation cuts, energy freedom, pipelines, border security, 2nd Amendment, Strong Military, ISIS, historic VA improvement, Supreme Court Justice, Record Stock Market, lowest unemployment in 17 yrs!" Trump wrote.

Twitter reacts
As expected, those who oppose Donald Trump wasted no time firing back at the president's claims.
"The fact is Trump hasn't accomplished much. He has tried and failed on numerous items, but most of his chaos has been contained, thankfully," one tweet read.
Using executive orders, Trump has sabotaged Obamacare which provides insurance for 20 million Americans.

Tax cuts for the LOWER and middle classes would be great, but Trump is pushing for corporate tax cuts and no healthcare plan. Citizens lose.

All you’ve gotten done is a Supreme Court justice, failed Puerto Rico, insulted a Gold Star ⭐️ widow, lied about contacting all families etc

"No administration has done more in less than a year to harm the American people than the Trump administration," Eugene Gu wrote on Twitter.
"More damage? Yes. More golfing? Yes. More hateful rhetoric? Yes! You are correct," another tweet added.
Or harm our traditionally-strong alliances. Or embolden our adversaries. Or threaten the environment.

More insane tweeting. More Hillary bashing. More trying to kill citizens. Yup.

You're the biggest fraud to ever enter politics...

"No Administration has done more in its first 9 months to destroy the Executive Branch and ignore the Constitution," yet an additional tweet noted. As the backlash continued, it was clear that many Americans weren't in agreement that Donald Trump has had a successful start to his administration.
