V12 mid-engine
The buyer receives a removable hardtop that weighs 13,5 lbs and can be stored under the front hood. The roof is available in visible carbon fiber or high-gloss black. The rear of the car has changed from the coupé, and the vertical windscreen behind the passengers can be lowered electrically or used as a wind deflector.
Instead of a motor mount, a transparent cover can also be ordered for an extra charge, displaying the 6.5-litre V12, which is positioned lengthwise. The mid-engine performs like in the Coupé. The ISR transmission shifts through seven gears within 50 milliseconds. Because the roadster weighs 110 lbs more than the coupé, a tenth of a second is lost in the sprint from zero to 62 mph: the sprint takes 3.0 seconds. At a top speed of 217 mph, the car is now level again.
Eco drive mode
The driver can control four-wheel drive, steering, and chassis in four stages: Strada, Sport, and Corsa. While in Ego mode the driver can combine the settings himself. A variable damper system and all-wheel steering are designed to improve agility.
Lamborghini has also tackled the aerodynamics of the Aventador with the introduction of the S-model and reduced lift, for example. At the same time, the adjustable rear wing reduces drag. The roadster now gets the changes in aerodynamics, four-wheel drive, steering, and chassis. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard. The Pirelli P Zero 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches on the rear axle are specially designed for the Aventador S.
Ad Personam customisation program
Lamborghini is presenting the new Aventador S Roadster at the trade fair, which is equipped with the Ad Personam customisation program. The premiere copy is lacquered in Blu Aegir, a color that is inspired by the deep ocean. Inside there is leather in Blu Delphinus and Bianco Polar. The roof is lined with Alcantara as standard and can be covered with carbon skin for an extra charge, just like various interior parts. Carbon fiber is found on the windscreen frame, bumpers, side aprons and air intakes and outlets.
