Technology advances every day, and Tesla is a leading company that manufactures electric cars. This company is creating a better future by producing electric vehicles that are changing the way we live. These vehicles will have a huge impact on ecology, the price of oil, and more. Here is a comparison of the Tesla Model X P100D with a more traditional car -- a Lamborghini Aventador SV. Both cars represent famous brands in the car industry. Both vehicles took part in the Palm Beach International Raceway to see what happens when you put top technology in an electric SUV and have it compete with one of the best and most desired cars on the planet.

A Model S P100D also joined the fun, leading to an interesting conclusion.

The results of the test

The Model X P100D completed the quarter mile in just 11.418 seconds, reaching more than 117 Miles Per Hour. That said, this is not as fast as Tesla claimed earlier this year. When the Electric Car Company added the Ludicrous Plus, Tesla stated that the quarter mile would take no more than 10.6 seconds, with 0-60 miles per hour in just 2.4 seconds. Although it took longer to complete the quarter mile, the results were good in general.

The Aventador is an expensive and powerful machine

The Lamborghini Aventador SV has 750 HP and is an all-wheel drive vehicle. The Aventador has a 6.5-liter V12 and is worth $530k -- more than three times the price of the Model X P100D.

The electric vehicle produced by Tesla is just $165k, but it does a good job of vanquishing the Aventador in the quarter mile. This victory was repeated by the Model S P100D, thus, while both electric cars are fast and competitive, Tesla seems to have the edge in terms of overall speed and technology.

Why are Tesla vehicles so good?

The vehicles manufactured by Tesla are very competitive because they have no gear changes to deal with, and their torque is completely available from the outset. The models S and X have a single speed, which is a great advantage. Tesla has become one of the leading companies in the United States, but it still has to improve its vehicles.

Innovations in design

The electric car company will soon launch the Tesla Roadster, and while speed is an important factor, the design of a vehicle is also important. Design is key in order to gain the favor of customers, so, Tesla will likely make some improvements/changes. Still, with Elon Musk at the helm, expect Tesla to continue to improve moving forward.
