In yet another move, US President Donald Trump appointed John Kelly as the new White House Chief Of Staff. In an unprecedented move, Trump replaced Reince Priebus only after six months of holding the position. John Kelly, 67, will join the office on Monday. He is retired from Marine Corps and before becoming the chief staff for the White House, Kelly was the head of the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump announces the news on Twitter

Like his other political moves, Trump announced his decision on Twitter as well. In series of tweets, Trump appointed Kelly as the chief of staff. It looks like announcing things on Twitter has become a must for President Trump. He took this step after his new communications director Anthony Scaramucci accused Priebus of leaking some vital information to reporters. Trump had also lost confidence in Priebus after when a large number of legislative items failed to pass through the U.S. Congress. As per reports, former chief of staff Priebus had filled his resignation after Scaramucci's accusations against him was published in the New Yorker Magazine.

Trump issued his decision as soon as he landed aboard Air Force One after a visit to Long Island. In fact, Priebus was on the plane with him but refrained from speaking about the situation with anyone. Meanwhile, the reports from the White House stated that Donald Trump had informed Priebus two weeks ago that he would be replacing him John Kelly and this decision was not at all influenced by Scaramucci's move. Left with no option, he then had to resign abruptly.

John Kelly, The news chief of staff

Trump had spoken to John Kelly more recently and hence he came up with an idea of naming him as the chief of staff so that Kelly could manage things more effectively and efficiently. In fact, as per Trump, Joh Kelly is a great American and has done a fantastic job at Homeland Security.

He also considers Kelly as a true star of his administration. Trump also thanked Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country. He also announced that as a team, they have achieved a lot and he is really proud of him.

But however, White House rumors indicate that President Trump has been disappointed and suspicious about Priebus for a long time since he took the job earlier this year. With this announcement, it will be interesting to see how far the President of the United States will go when it comes to revealing his cards on Twitter for more important decisions.
